KWSP - Registering Your Employees Part of your responsibility as an employer is to register your previously unregistered employees before the first contribution is made. There are various ways to register your employees. Employee Registration via i-Akaun (Employer) Employers who have registered and activated their i-Akaun can register their employees online. This method only applies to Malaysian citizens and permanent residents who have identification cards with 7 and 12 digits only. Upon verification by the National Registration Department, the employee will be provided with an EPF membership number. Auto Register via Monthly Contribution Form (Form A) Upon completion of form A which includes entering details such as MyKad number and employee’s name as per MyKad, employees who have not registered will be automatically registered with the EPF. This method is only applicable to Malaysians and Permanent Residents with MyKad. Employee with MyKad This option requires the employees to be present at the EPF counter, where they need to give their MyKad and the registration will be done using the MyKad chip. Once confirmed, the employees will receive their EPF membership number.

2. SOCSO Registration of Employer and Employee Employer and its employees must be registered with SOCSO not later than 30 days on which the Act becomes applicable to the industry.For the purpose of registration, an employer is required to complete the Employer’s Registration Form (Form 1), Employee’s Registration Form (Form 2) together with relevant documents specified (please get the checklist through our website or nearby office). SOCSO shall be notified of any changes to the name, address, type of proprietorship, status of the employer or employees. Registration of New Employees  Employers who take on a new employee is eligible under the Act shall register the employee form 2, regardless of whether the employee ever registered and make contributions to SOCSO while working at a previous employer. Employee’s Record Every employer shall maintain a monthly record with following particulars for each employee: i.   Name ii.  National Registration Identity Card Number iii. Occupation iv. Contribution details v.  Monthly wages vi. Allowances
